The Summer Festival is here, with the main celebration taking place in Azurmere, the capital city of the Marean. The city is located in the middle of a large crescent-shaped bay in the southern part of Orenfall Shore. Most of it is submerged beneath the water, with the districts woven throughout expansive and colourful coral reefs. Beyond the shelter of the bay, the reef descends along the seafloor before dropping off into a vast, lightless abyss. Rising above the ocean surface, is a towering, nacreous-silver spire that coils towards the sky, nestled in the heart of the city, surrounded by plazas and elegant buildings. Several bridges connect the city to the crescent-shaped shoreline, like wheel spokes. All Veilhorns are welcome to attend. Does your character live here, travel to Azurmere to participate in the festivities, or do they celebrate closer to home?

Marathon Relay
In this race, teams of three compete to finish the relay consisting of three parts: swimming, running, and flying. The race starts with the swimming segment, beginning at the beach in the capital where the Summer Festival takes place, circling the outskirts of the underwater coral reef districts before descending into the deep abyss. The trail has been marked out by bioluminescent algae, where your character will have to navigate a tangled, kelp forest before reaching the beach for the handoff. The running segment takes place in a section of Emberleaf Grove, starting in a tropical swamp area and transitioning to a slightly challenging terrain following a trail to the top of a mountain. The mountain forest consists of trees with bright crimson leaves, similar to laceleaf maples. Several obstacles to jump over have been placed along the entire track. The handoff to the next race segment takes place about halfway up the mountain. The flying segment requires reaching the top of the mountain before circling back above both the running and swimming tracks. The route in the air is marked by magic floating ring-shaped clouds to fly through. The final stretch takes place around the above-water upper city of Azurmere, before ending at the beach where the race started. All segments of the race have large elemental orb obstacles scattered along the trail route. Crossing through an orb of the same element as your Veilhorn's alignment will give them a short speed boost and a trailing effect in the element's colour, while crossing an orb of a different element will temporarily snare them. These orbs can be moved and manipulated with magic by those who don't want to fight fair, just make sure you don't get caught! Non-Marean Veilhorn can utilize the water-breathing spell for the swimming segment, or use shapeshift spells to transform into some mer-creature or aquatic form more fit for swimming. For the flying segment, Veilhorns without wings can use the mage-wing spell to gain semi-translucent wings in the same colour as their elemental alignment.
Objective
Show or describe your Veilhorn participating in one of the three racecourse parts, either swimming, running, or flying. Are they playing by the rules, or testing just how closely the judges are watching? Shapeshifted Veilhorns must still accurately display their design colours and markings.

Each entry must have at least 1 character that meets the XP requirement. Additional characters that do not meet the XP requirement are allowed, but are not eligible for character-specific rewards. Minimum 1 character per player (for collabs, this means 2 entry contributors requires the entry to have at least 2 characters who each meet the XP requirement).

The beaches surrounding Azurmere are the perfect place for relaxation (or a vacation!) It's also the perfect place for diving, playing beach games, or building sand castles. Veilhorns from all over the world gather here, appearing in their favored forms, whether it's their true form, shapeshifted, or veiled, and often dressed in outfits that best reflect their personality and style.
Objective
Show or describe your Veilhorn in their preferred form (true form, veiled, shapeshifted) and outfit, while hanging out at the beach or nearest body of water if they have have chosen not to visit Azurmere. Shapeshifted Veilhorns must still accurately display their design colours and markings.

The Summer Solstice (or Midsummer), celebrates the longest day and shortest night of the year. During the day, maypoles are decorated with flower garlands and ribbons and danced around. In the evening, participants gather at the beach or nearest body of water to set out candles and small elemental lights on tree bark boats and lily pads. This yearly tradition is frequently fraught with acts of (playful) sabotage, such as stealing ribbons and garlands from others' maypoles when their backs are turned. The thieves must replace the stolen decor with lighthearted or silly items they have made or gathered themselves, whilst decorating their own maypole with the items they stole.
Objective
Show or describe your Veilhorn participating in the celebration during the day by decorating with flowers and ribbons, or at night either lighting candles and lights, or participating in the ribbon and garland theft tradition.

A friendly play fight between a water-elemental sea serpent and a fire-elemental phoenix has gotten out of hand and is rapidly spiraling out of control. The fight is tearing through the celebration and scattering spectators. Perhaps the beasts got carried away in the excitement… ..or were manipulated by an outside force as an act of sabotage. Does your character try to help and stop the fight, join the brawl, help the spectators who got caught in the middle, flee to safety, or were they somehow involved in this disaster?
