How to play
Veilhorn is a Horse Art Roleplaying Game (HARPG) where you play by drawing, writing, or roleplaying with your characters to earn Silver coins 
. All submissions of your characters will earn them XP & Stat points, which is used to level up and earn rewards.
How you chose to play with your characters is entirely up to you, Veilhorn have a world with lore to inspire new stories but you can also easily bring your Veilhorn characters to your own story universe and play them as any other character, perhaps as a showjumper in a traditional equestrian stable, use them as OCs, or simply collect designs that you like. Even if world lore and story events are considered canon in the breed doesn't mean you have to consider them canon to your personal stories.
Getting your own Veilhorn
Veilhorns can be aquired in many different ways. Every new character will always start out as an undesigned geno (to be designed by yourself), which you can get through:
- Purchasing a custom for Silver coins
- Breeding two Veilhorns to create a foal
- Purchasing undesigned genos on the Market for Silver coins
- Using a Rift-lost foal card (see the Shop for some of the available cards)
You can also obtain already designed characters on the Market for Silver coins . Be sure to also check the advertisement channels in the Discord server, for any members that are selling, trading or gifting characters and genos.
Earning Silver
You earn silver coins for all activities that reward XP. You can also earn it through selling characters and genos on the Market, or by participating in Events. Occasionally, gift cards awarding silver coins are available to claim on the homepage, remember to go to your inventory and use the card for it to be added to your balance.
Breeding
You can only breed Veilhorns that you own breeding slots to. Only the owner of each character can specify who may use their slots, if you own a Veilhorn you still need to mark yourself on its breeding slots before you can use it.
Breeding slots may have character-restrictions set by the owner, meaning the slot can only be used to the character it's restricted to. Additionally to prevent inbreeding, you will not be able to submit breedings where the sire and dam are related within 3 generations (the visible lineage on their profile).
You may gift, trade, and sell breeding slots to your characters. At the moment you can do so in the Discord server. In the future the Market will also support buying, selling and trading breeding slots.
When you submit the breeding you will receive three different genotypes to chose from for your new foal, you will only be able to pick one option.
Possible foal options can be previewed at the Fortune teller's progeny prediction. The foal will always inherit its mother's Bloodline, while the Elemental Alignment is randomly generated.
