Account credentials: We use this information to create and manage your account and allow you to log in. We offer two methods for signing up:
1. Email and Password:
  You may sign up directly using your email and password. Your email address is used to create and manage your account, send authentication emails (such as verification or password reset links), and communicate important updates about your account.
2. Discord login:
  You may also sign up or log in using your Discord account. When you choose to log in with Discord, we receive limited information from Discord as permitted by their API and your privacy settings. This includes your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and associated email address.
Username: To identify you on the Service.
Optional data: Anything you create, upload, comment, or receive while using the Service. We use this optional data to personalize your experience and display content within the Service, but only if you choose to provide it.

We do not claim ownership of any user's intellectual property, but by uploading it you grant us a license to display it on the Service, see our Terms of Service for more information.

Our Service is not intended for children under the age of 13 (or older if local law sets a higher age). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to delete it immediately. Parents or guardians who believe we may have collected data from their child can contact us at veilhorn.privacy@gmail.com to request deletion.

Create and manage your account: Your email, password, and Discord information allow us to authenticate and maintain your account.
Communicate with you: We may send important account-related messages, such as verification emails, password reset links, and security notifications. For this purpose, we use third-party services such as Resend, which acts as a data processor on our behalf.
Personalize your experience: Optional information such as your username, avatar, or profile banner is used to customize your profile and enhance your experience on the Service.
Ensure security and prevent abuse: We may log IP addresses and other technical data to detect unauthorized access, prevent abuse, and maintain the integrity of the Service.
Data storage and processing: We use Supabase as a backend service to store your account data and authentication information.

We do not use your personal data for marketing purposes or share it with third parties except as necessary to provide the Service. All processing is conducted in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR.

3. Cookies

We use cookies to store your authentication token, allowing you to stay logged in during your session. These cookies are necessary for the functionality of our site and cannot be disabled.

We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking, or analytics purposes.

You can delete cookies or clear your browser's cache at any time. However, doing so may log you out of the application and will prevent you from staying logged in.

4. How We Store Your Data

We use Supabase to store account data and authentication information. Supabase acts as a data processor and complies with GDPR. For more information, see Supabase Privacy Policy. If you delete your account, we will remove the associated user record from our system.

6. Data retention

We retain your personal data only for as long as your account is active. Once you delete your account, all associated personal data is permanently removed from our system.

Content created using our templates, such as character designs, and character reference images may remain on the Service even after your account is deleted or ownership of the character is transferred. We do not consider content without personal identifiers to be personal data under GDPR. Please ensure that any content you upload does not contain personal information. If any content contains identifiable information (e.g., a signature), you can request its removal or anonymization at any time by contacting us. All other optional User Content, such as avatars, profile banners, and other uploads, is automatically and immediately deleted upon account deletion.
