Her nose flared, head lifted and ears twitching. Her tail sätter a fly away and she held a rose in her mouth. Carefully, she put it down in the basket on the ground she had brought.

Carmen had been up early, tasked to get roses, determined to decorate the town of Azurmere with some of them before everyone woke. Wanting them to wake up to a nice smell and surprise.

She picked each and every rose with care, putting thought and love in each she put into the basket, almost like she handled a young one.

// Few hours later //

She stood in a more shaded hide place, where not many would see her. She looked with excitement as the first horses woke and approached her work with the flowers. Hearing them compliment it, appreciating it and smelling them. A warm feeling filled her belly, she smiled and her posture became even more relaxed. Then a thud to her left front leg and she looked down on the little foal.

”Hi Mam! Did you do this? With the roses?” They asked curiously. ”What makes you think so?” Carmen asked with a gentle and warm tone. ”The roses on your body! It looks like the same sort as the decorative ones!”.

Carmen smiled as her head lowered to the foals ear. Quietly whispering ”It's a secret”. She saw the eyes of the foal blew wide before it neighed and ran off, excitement and happiness all around the little one. Carmen smiled and she relaxed back, continuing to enjoy the view of the different horses from across the world admiring her decorations, her roses.
