Tabitha and Cassius had been searching the library for the mundane, simple books to boost their magical abilities. While Tabitha used her front hooves to help her reach up at the aged books on the alcove's top shelf, a single hoof slipped causing her to tumble to the floor. Alarmed, Cassius rushed to ensure she wasn't injured, but her purple eyes weren't on him, nor her scrapes. It was on something white under the alcove's bottom shelf, wedged within a crack in the boulder.

"Hey... your seeing this too, right?" Tabitha had mumbled to Cassius, her eyes wide.

Cassius' blue eyes followed her own, eyebrows furrowing before nodding slowly, "Yah... I am. That looks recent" He had replied, stepping forward to look more.

Tabitha's horn lit up in that airy purple, gently wiggling it out before it flipped, "huh... no writing..." She stood back up, opening it carefully as she positioned the paper within between her and Cassius. In silence, the two read, the room cooling with tension seeping into their bodies. "That's..." Tabitha trailed off, her eyes wide with shock and a growing dread.

"That's a clue on the thief who stole from the ancient archives 6 months ago." Cassius finished, his tone laced with dread as his eyes met Tabitha's. They had found an unintentional clue towards a case even the more experienced folks struggled on regarding the allusion thief. They had to report this and fast, before anyone worse discovered they uncovered a clue towards the theif's tracks.
