Coat color & white marking variations
Coat color variations
Countershading and dapples
You can freely customize your design's basecoat and mane/tail with subtle variations in brightness and saturation, giving it a slightly countershaded appearance, as long as it doesn't mimic genes your Veilhorn doesn't have.
Subtle dapples may be added on any coat even if genes that normally causes dapples are not present. Note that "natural" dapples should be faint and may not mimic genes your Veilhorn doesn't have.

Skin visibility
You can alter the skin layer and make the skin more or less visible on areas with thin fur, such as the face, flanks, etc.

White marking variations
Acceptable shade range for white markings
White markings are allowed to be any shade of off-white as long as the following conditions are met:
- The white markings appear white compared to the rest of the design.
- The white markings are the lightest part of the design. For example, on a cremello (which can already be white or near-white) the white markings must be same color or lighter than the base coat - they may not be darker than the cremello coat.

Mapping
"Mapping" refers to markings and patterns having a semi-opaque or roaned border. This can be added on any pattern regardless of genetics, including natural white. Mapping can be even or uneven.
