Genotype options:

Appearance

Fewspot appaloosa causes white appaloosa patterns with few or no spots. If any spots are present they should be very small.

At minimal expression fewspot appaloosa needs to have some white visible and it must appear as fewspot, meaning it should not be too spotted. Minimal blanket must start around the rear.

Fewspot appaloosa can have very roaned edges on the white markings.

Mane and tail will be affected where white markings touch, however in the case of a snowcap pattern that only covers the butt it is optional whether it affects the tail or not.

Minimum requirement:

  • A white blanket on the rump/croup.

Minimum requirements can be reduced or completely removed by the occlusion trait.

Allowed:

  • The edges of the white markings can be smooth, uneven, roaned, or a mix of all.

Not allowed:

  • May not have large or plentiful spots similar to leopard appaloosa.

Eye colour: Light blue

Optional: Optionally allows light blue eyes regardless if the white markings touch the eye or not.

Skin colour: Mottled

Mottled

Skin on areas affected by white markings must be light peachy pink or a lightened version of the natural skin colour. Can optionally have mottled/spotted skin even if no white spots are near. Mottled skin can also have small freckled holes in white markings.

Horn/hoof colour: Striped

Striped
Striped

Lightens naturally coloured horns and hooves where the white markings touch. Optionally lightens elemental/mutation horns and hooves. Can optionally be striped even if no white spots are touching.

Snowflake is an optional effect of Fewspot appaloosa

The minimum requirements of Fewspot appaloosa must still be met regardless if Snowflake is shown or not.

Snowflake is not listed in the phenotype, a Fewspot appaloosa with Snowflake is still only written as Fewspot appaloosa.

Appearance

Snowflake causes a "reverse leopard" appearance, with white spots on a colored coat.

The white spots should be same size or smaller than regular appaloosa spots, and can have a roaned appearance.

Snowflake should at minimum have a generous amount of spotting present on the rear (same range as minimal fewspot appaloosa).

Snowflake appaloosa can be combined with other fewspot appaloosa patterns, such as snowcap fewspot appaloosa.

Eye colour:

Affects eye colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Skin colour:

Affects skin colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Horn/hoof colour:

Affects horn and hoof colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Varnish is an optional effect of Fewspot appaloosa

The minimum requirements of Fewspot appaloosa must still be met regardless if Varnish is shown or not.

Varnish is not listed in the phenotype, a Fewspot appaloosa with Varnish is still only written as Fewspot appaloosa.

Appearance

Fewspot appaloosa can have a varnished appearance, with a heavily roaned uneven pattern as if the white has been sandpapered off.

Eye colour:

Affects eye colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Skin colour:

Affects skin colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Horn/hoof colour:

Affects horn and hoof colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Mismarked is an optional effect of Fewspot appaloosa

The minimum requirements of Fewspot appaloosa must still be met regardless if Mismarked is shown or not.

Mismarked is not listed in the phenotype, a Fewspot appaloosa with Mismarked is still only written as Fewspot appaloosa.

Appearance

Mismarked appaloosa causes random areas to be absent of white patterns.

Mismarked can appear anywhere on the body and in any size, however fewspot appaloosa still needs to be visible (it can't be "fully" mismarked).

Eye colour:

Affects eye colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Skin colour:

Affects skin colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.

Horn/hoof colour:

Affects horn and hoof colour the same way fewspot appaloosa does.
