Appearance
Primal allows your Veilhorn's element to show on their coat. It can create soft gradients, and/or alter the colour of any present patterns. Primal will always be in the color of your characters Elemental alignment. This means if your character has the Fire elemental alignment, the Primal mutation can only be in the color range available to the Fire palette.
Gradients on the body must be blended softly into the base coat, and can optionally have textures based on the elemental alignment. Gradients may cover up to half the body and must transition into their coat colour (unless more than 50% of the coat is hidden by white markings).
Textures must be in the same colour as the element's palette. Subtle dapples are also allowed. Textures can be generic swirls/flecks or be more specific depending on the element, for example leaves/foliage for Nature, or water rippes for Water. Chaos can show any element(s), in any colour.
Primal can optionally affect mane and tail where it touches. Gradients are allowed to affect mane and/or tail on its own without any marking on the body touching the mane/tail, but may then only be a partial ombre effect, leaving the natural colour visible either at the tips or roots.
Primal on the body, mane, and tail must always go below white patterns, whether it is applied as a gradient or affects an existing pattern. It may not alter white markings.
Primal on the horns and hooves may optionally create element-inspired patterns. This can go above or below white markings (your choice). Primal can affect horns and hooves either fully or partially, for example naturally coloured horns with a striped/textured transition into the elemental appearance.
