Appearance
Serpent causes armored dragon-like scales anywhere on the horse, and can range anywhere from covering the entire body to just a small part.
The scales can be any colour, including non-natural ones, and can optionally display patterns and markings present on the coat while allowing them to be any colour (or stay as their natural colour). The scales may also optionally have a simple coloured outline/rim at the edge of each scale.
Serpent can optionally cause spines/spikes on the body, which may be webbed, similar to dragon-like fins. On the bloodlines Elwyn and Wyrm the serpent mutation can optionally cause a spiked or arrow-like tip similar to a dragon's tail tip. This can replace tail hair, if wanted.
Serpent can also cause elongated reptile mouths, which may also cause them to have sharp teeth that may or may not be visible even when their mouth is closed.
