Appearance

Acanthus appears as decorative markings mimicing the stylized ornamental motif based on the acanthus plants. The markings have a swirly and elegant appearance and can appear anywhere on the body. Acanthus markings should primarily be jagged and curly leaves, but can also depict stylized flowers, spirals and swirls.

Acanthus should always be darker than the coat (anywhere from slightly darker to complete black), but can have lighter accents highlighting or outlining the markings.

Can optionally affect mane/tail where it touches.

Always goes below white patterns.

Minimum requirement:

  • A jagged/curly stylized leaf somewhere on the body.

Minimum requirements can be reduced or completely removed by the occlusion trait.

Allowed:

  • Can have decorative flowers around or in the swirls/leaves.
  • Can have some spots/petals around or in the pattern.
  • Can optionally affect mane and tail where it touches.

Not allowed:

  • Can not depict letters or numbers (can only be leaves, flowers, and swirls.)

Eye colour:

Doesn't affect eye colour.

Skin colour:

Can optionally affect skin where it touches. Dark patterns should darken skin while light patterns should lighten skin.

Horn/hoof colour:

Can optionally affect horns/hooves where it touches. Dark patterns should darken them while light patterns should lighten them.
