Appearance

Freckle causes small spots scattered throughout the coat, anywhere on the body. The freckles can cover the entire body or just a part, but should always appear randomly scattered and not arranged in deliberate patterns. Freckles should always look like small spots, never streaks, lines, or rosettes.

The majority of the freckles must be darker than the coat, but can vary how much darker than the coat they are (anywhere from slightly darker to complete black). Some freckles are allowed to be lighter than the coat, as long as they are fewer than the dark freckles.

Can optionally affect mane/tail where it touches.

Always goes below white patterns.

Minimum requirement:

  • At least one freckle somewhere on the body.

Minimum requirements can be reduced or completely removed by the occlusion trait.

Allowed:

  • Can optionally affect mane and tail where it touches.

Not allowed:

  • Can not cause large appaloosa/leopard-like spots.

Eye colour:

Doesn't affect eye colour.

Skin colour:

Can optionally affect skin where it touches. Dark patterns should darken skin while light patterns should lighten skin.

Horn/hoof colour:

Can optionally affect horns/hooves where it touches. Dark patterns should darken them while light patterns should lighten them.
