Appearance
Echelon affects the visual hierarchy of any present traits, allowing patterns and traits that would normally appear "under" white to now instead appear "over" white markings.
Echelon never affects the location or shape/size of any traits or markings, it simply allows them to be "layered" over eachother in any order.
Echelon is "hidden" if no other traits are present, for example a plain chestnut echelon with no patterns or white patterns has no way to express the echelon trait, but still carries it and can pass it to offspring.
