Appearance
Papilio appears as lacy spots and stripes similar to the pattern on butterfly wings.
The lines of papilio should always be either black or darker than the coat. Lighter and/or darker variations of the coat colour can fill in the spots and areas between the lines. Papilio can also optionally have white accent-spots, which should always be small and fairly round.
Papilio can display "false eye" spots as seen on peacock butterflies.
While the examples all show papilio markings starting from the topline of the horse, there is no limit to where papilio can appear (i.e. only on legs is completely fine).
Always goes below white patterns.
